Bethesda

Bethesda, Tennessee is a rural, unincorporated community located in the 37046 zip code that was formed in the early 1800’s along Rutherford Creek in the Southwestern Williamson County.  This area is situated along Interstate 65 just 26.5 miles south of the metropolitan area of Nashville.  Surrounding areas include Thompson’s Station, Gollege Grove, and Spring Hill.

The well-known cities of Franklin and Brentwood are just north of Bethesda.  With such close proximity to a variety of vibrant areas, Bethesda provides a wonderful living environment.  The community itself has a relatively small population which allows the local people to live a quiet, simple life, yet the conveniences and amenities of a big city are only a short distance away.

As a community located inside Williamson County, Bethesda TN is proud to offer one the best public education systems in the state.  The schools here have received national recognition for their academic achievements and the students continually score high on assessment tests.  There is a high value placed on education throughout Bethesda and the surrounding areas.

One of the many reasons people are drawn to the small towns of Middle Tennessee is because of the majestic natural beauty of the land.  And if you enjoy the great outdoors, Bethesda TN will deliver much joy to your family. For those who love the water there are numerous small creeks running through the area as well as Lake Tomlin and Thompson Lake which provide recreational opportunities.

Keeping in line with the rest of Middle Tennessee, Bethesda carries its own pride in history.  The William Steele House, which was built in 1850, is located 1/2 mile east of Bethesda and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.  The Smithson-McCall Farm is another place of historical significance located here.

The local housing conditions in Bethesda are quite promising.  Williamson County is one of the healthiest markets in Tennessee.  Home values steadily rose in 2012 and are expected to continue that growth through 2013.

With a temperate climate, a low crime rate, excellent education system, a strong housing market, and an unemployment rate that is lower than the state’s average, Bethesda TN is a great place to raise a family.
