Leipers Fork

Leiper’s Fork is a tiny unincorporated village in Williamson County in the zip code of 37064. This village is situated just south of Nashville and rests halfway between Franklin and Fairview.   It is an area of choice for families who want to live the country life in a rural environment, but still have access to the city for shopping, employment or entertainment.  Leiper’s Fork is known for it’s location on Natchez Trace (a historical path that extends 440 miles from Natchez Mississippi to Nashville Tennessee).

Like many other Middle Tennessee towns, Leiper’s Fork is steeped in history.  Pioneers in the late 1700s settled here and as payment for their services in the Revolutionary War, they received land grants. To this day, the village sits on part of an original 2,504 acre land grant.  And, there are still local buildings that exhibit 19th century architecture which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Leiper’s Fork may be small, but it is big on fun!  The village hosts several annual events including music festivals, turkey shoots, and model airplane competitions.  Imagine a place where family, friends, and neighbors get together to watch an outdoor movie, and dance to country music.  With so many big name music artists in the area, you never know who’ll show up and give a spontaneous performance.  That’s what life is like for the residents of Leiper’s Fork; it’s a place where farmers are known to mingle with some of the most elite Nashville socialites.

There are so many things that make Leiper’s Fork an attractive place to live.  Folks here can stay fit by going to the Hillsboro Leiper’s Fork Community Center, or they can visit the local library to see what’s new in literature.  There is a surprisingly large variety of small businesses to appease the shopper in you, and while you’re out meeting the amazing shop owners you can stop for a bite to eat one of the many eateries in the village.  There are parks available that offer hiking and biking trails, scenic drives through the rolling hills, and arts & crafts classes.  Whatever your hobby, Leiper’s Fork has the answer!

The school system in Leiper’s Fork is part of Williamson County which is known to be among the best in the entire state.  The youngsters living here receive the highest quality education and reach astounding heights in their academic achievements.
